We move to get out of our own way. When the body and mind are relaxed, and the breathing is calm, the mind settles and we have better access to perceiving the pulsating Quiet that we are. The health benefits of the postures attributed to yoga are a nice by-product but it’s about finding and then tuning in regularly to this Quiescence (our essence nature -or various other names used in the traditions). The real aim of yoga is Self-realization and that comes from (allowing what we think we are to) STFU.
