Today in Navaratri this is the day known as Maha Navamai. The Navdurga celebrated today is Siddhidatri, bestower of boons for perfections (special “powers”).
She is supposed to have a strong association with the planet Ketu and is considered the form of Shakti associated with the ‘Ardhanareshwar’, which is half Shiva and half Parvati.
She is “acknowledged for satisfying dreams and imparting genuine understanding.”
