We are nearing the half way mark on SHERO FEST, yes, already! Thank you for engaging yourself and making the decision to explore Durga and Navratri.
Today is a couple of things. For this Shraad Navratri (they have different names based on which one it is), the color today (being promoted by sources such as the Hindustan Times) is royal blue. The Navdurga (or aspect of Durga) of the day/night is Kushmanda. She who is said to have created the world with her smile! Not Brahma or a creator God, Kushmanda created everything. She is the Creatrix. Whether or not it is ultimately important which gender we ascribe Creation to, the subconscious possibility and promise it gives women is potent.
Before I go on, here’s an uplifting chant for Kushmanda and one that may feel more suitable this evening - night Kushmanda chant.
For those of you who will be able to join me for the first of the workshop series at Aves, we will review the last three Navdurgas as well as embrace the theme of Earth and power. The desire I have is to bring us through an expedited version of Navratri in these next 4 days at Aves. Like so:
SHERO FEST Aves Day 1 Review of first 3 days of Navratri - Earth + Power
SHERO FEST Aves Day 2 Teaching the 2nd set of 3 days of Navratri - Sun + Manifestation
SHERO FEST Aves Day 3 Teaching the final 3 days of Navratri - Moon + Transcendence
SHERO FEST Aves Day 4 - Summary of all of Navratri and “pre-party”
