On Shero Fest Day 3 we have the aspect of Durga (Navdurga), Chandraghanta. The color of the day is the red that she wears riding her tiger. There is a nice write up of the story of Chandragranta in the cute cartoony depiction of her below from mother and blogger, Priyanka. As you will learn, if you read the article (hyperlinked from the image below), Chandraganta turns her skin into a golden color. So, adorning yourself in gold or gold looking accessories may also be a way a simple way to bring the Goddess into your thought stream today. And perhaps consider what some of the tantric traditions say, “The Goddess dwells within you, as you."
If you have not already performed the sadhana, I like using the Chant Central jaap mantras. They are on the more energetic side and usually last enough for 1 set. The sadhana is the breathwork/mediation I sometimes call “Power Breath”, it is bhastrika, as I was taught. One set means if your breathwork 1-5 minutes, the other part of the breathwork is actually equal amount of rest whether you intend to do more sets or not. For instance, if you do a 3 minute set of breathwork, then you rest and feel for 3 minutes. That is one set. The Chant Central chant for today is about 11 minutes so, you could almost get 2 sets in on one listening ;). I will also attach two other mantras you may wish to listen to.
Chant Central Chandraghanta mantra - possibly for an uplifting soundtrack for your sadhana.
Chandraghanta chant by Rajshri Soul - use for a more meditative setting
A beautiful Devi Sarvabhuteshu mantra shared last night by Dianne — nice night vibes on this one.
Want something calming to fall asleep to? Try this one. I will be teaching this mantra during the SHERO FEST Aves event series.
An audio transmission will be added to this post this evening.
